Langley – March 23/34
The Eh Team opened its new season on the March 23/24 weekend at the Ice Breaker tournament in Langley.
After an 0-3 round robin on Saturday, the bats came alive and the defence was sound as Eh Team picked up three wins on Sunday to win its division.
Weekend MVPs were Paul and Courtney.
Up next is a return trip to Langley for another Ice Breaker tournament the weekend of April 6/7.

Langley – April 6/7
The Eh Team returned to Langley for another early season Ice Breaker tournament.
A slightly different squad was out with the Eh Team going 1-2 in Saturday round robin action.
Sunday was a different story, with three impressive wins and the second division tournament win of the season.
MVPs were Niki and JC.
Up next is a trip to Abbotsford for a tournament over the May 25th weekend.

Abbotsford – May 25/26
The Eh Team headed out to Abbotsford for a rainy weekend in late May.
After playing one round robin game on Saturday, the day was called due to poor field conditions.
All teams were awarded a tie in its second round robin game and a third round robin game was played on Sunday morning, which Eh Team won to finish 1-1-1 in round robin play.
The first playoff game saw a pitchers’ duel with little offence with Eh Team losing 4-3 ending the tournament.
MVPs – Courtney and Paul

VCS Mid-Season – Riverway – Burnaby – June 22/23

The Advertising Softball World Series – 2018 – Orlando

IMG_2706 (1)

It was another memorable week for Eh Team Vancouver at the 2018 Advertising Softball World Series.

This year’s edition, the 36th annual (Sept. 30 to Oct. 4) in Orlando, Fla., brought together teams from Dallas, New York, Chicago, Detroit, London and Vancouver for a week of softball, parties, great times and memories.

This year also marked the 20th anniversary of Eh Team Vancouver, who joins with Chicago Bad Apples as the two longest continuing franchises at the Ad World Series.

Eh Team Vancouver brought a veteran squad to Orlando this year and for the first time since it’s opening tournament appearance in 1999, no rookies were on the squad.

Eh Team opened up day one of the tournament with a 12-8 loss to Who Cares?!

They rebounded with wins over WTF Happened (16-5), Menace 2 Sobriety (10-8) and Shenanigans (28-6) to finish the day at 3-1, including a 3-0 start in division play.

Day two brought about more of the same – an opening game loss – followed by three wins.

Eh Team lost 11-5 to Motor City Chaos, beat Chicago Bad Apples ins a walk-off thriller 7-6, beat New York Cocktails – Brew Crew 12-1 and Thundercats from Jersey U.K. 18-2. Eh Team sat with an overall record of 6-2 and 6-1 in division.

On day three and the final day of competition, Eh Team once again dropped its first game of the day, then reeled off three-straight wins.

The opener was an 11-10 loss to New York Cocktails – Booze Crew, the eventual division one champions. Wins over Cocktails Brew Crew (19-6), Shenanigans (26-4) and WTF Happened (14-4) pushed Eh Team’s record to an impressive 9-3 overall and 9-1 in division.

The record resulted in a division championship and another city title for Eh Team, its first division title since 2015 and first city title since 2013.

IMG_2269

The 2017 edition of the Andrew Pereman Memorial was a huge success with 16 teams battling it out in Squamish.
It was fitting that Team 95 and Drivers from Squamish ended up in the A-side final won 11-9 by Team 95.
Crows won the B-side beating Trolls in the final while Radicals bested Balls in the C-finals.

The 2017 softball season is here!
Eh Team Vancouver will be embarking on its 19th season with tournaments starting in late March culminating in the 35th annual Advertising Softball World Series in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina Oct. 1 to 5!

2016 Advertising Softball World Series

Eh Team combined

The 2016 Advertising Softball World Series, held in Tucson, Arizona, marked a year of transition for Eh Team Vancouver with several of the core management team not attending for various reasons and a new management team taking over. The team also featured 10 rookies between Eh Team Drew and Eh Team Hayes.
With smaller rosters, both teams would be in tough competing against strong division opponents, but the squad put in a great performance.
Team Drew finished with an overall record of 5-3 and just missed out on a division championship playoff game with the eventual division champs Hazbenz from Dallas.
Team Hayes finished with an overall record of 3-5-1 with several one-run and close losses in day one and two. Overall, Eh Team Vancouver finished .500 at 8-8-1.
The tournament marked the first time that Eh Team Vancouver played against each other at the tournament with Drew winning 13-11 on day one of the tournament.
Other tournament highlights were the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort, a spectacular hotel setting and one of the best in the tournament’s history; a great opening night outdoor party, jersey contest and skills event; a cool mystery party night at an off-site cattle ranch venue and some great days of ball and drinks by the pool. We want talk about the rain though!
